I inherited a big UPS for my NSLU2 backup system. It’s all hooked up, and should be providing protection. I don’t think the power went out today, but I find this evening that the NSLU2 is off — what’s that all about?
Is it one of those annoying ones where only half the plugs are actually uninterruptible? I have one like that, it drove me batty initially.
These days I always test with something unimportant (a clock?) first.
It wasn’t that — it was that the battery was almost dead. Replacing it with a very tiny new UPS fixed the problem — yay!
