The British Mountain Bike

Ah, the Cleland Aventura — the very distinctive off-road bike. I wanted one of these something fierce when I was a young ‘un.

  1. Clelands. I bought a 1983 Cleland Aventura back in 1985. Then a had a Highpath Engineering’ made version in 1988. I’ve still use both of them. Their design was so radical yet practical and like no other, even to this day. In 2005 I bought a carbon fibre Giant NRS, to see how technology has moved on. It’s good, but I still prefer the Clelands for the longer, muddier and more technical rides.

  2. The website above is a more recent update of the latest developments with the AventuraTT. Hope you find it interesting…
