You say messy, I prefer “abundant” …
This was the result of buying about half a kilo of unroasted (organic) sunflower seeds and raking them into the earth back in May. Sure, the critters got a lot of the seeds, but most of the seeds took. It was also slightly cheaper than a packet of (usually 12) seeds from the garden centre.
