Some tidying was required in order to find all the necessary paperwork. I know it&#8217;s ages before the deadline, but <a href=\"http:\/\/c-raine.com\/\">Catherine<\/a> needs it early for her US taxes.<\/li>\n<li>Noticed the last two water bills were double what they should have been. A $3 flapper valve for the loo should sort that. You&#8217;d never get that with a British syphon flush &#8230;<\/li>\n<li>One of the neighbours just got a Linksys wireless router (with no encryption and default passwords, no less), so I had to rename and rechannel ours. Most hassle was getting the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linksys.com\/servlet\/Satellite?c=L_Product_C2&amp;childpagename=US%2FLayout&amp;cid=1118334782530&amp;pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&amp;lid=8253087090B09\">WET54G<\/a> wireless bridge to talk to the new location. It didn&#8217;t help that it had the oldest version of the firmware in the world, plus it kept trying to rejoin the neighbours&#8217; network.<\/li>\n<li>Braved IKEA. I now have a basement server\/printer rack fashioned from multiple <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/webapp\/wcs\/stores\/servlet\/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10103&amp;storeId=3&amp;langId=-15&amp;productId=13583\">Rast<\/a> bedside tables screwed together.<\/li>\n<li>Opened up the outside tap, now that the threat of -20\u00c2\u00b0C weather is gone for the year.<\/li>\n<li>Paid many, many bills, some of which were routed from their mulching sleep while I was\u00c2\u00a0 looking for tax paperwork.<\/li>\n<li>Joined worthy societies like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foecanada.org\/\">FOE<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.greenpeace.org\/\">Greenpeace<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Saw <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sharkwater.com\/\">Sharkwater<\/a>. You should, too.<\/li>\n<li>My new Interac card is less than interactive. I&#8217;m sure I managed to get it to work once, but now it&#8217;s gone dead. This means a trip to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hsbc.ca\/\">Honkers &amp; Shankers<\/a> on Spadina, always a joy &#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Income taxes filed.
