I just got wireless networking going from boot, after installing the $23 wireless-g router. The only things I have to get going are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><del datetime=\"2005-07-17T02:44:33+00:00\">X running under the VIA Unichrome Pro accelerated driver; it&#8217;s using VESA, so is hardly fast. Look&#8217;s like I might have to build from source from <a href=\"http:\/\/myth.ivor.org\/unichrome\/\">Ivor<\/a>.<\/del> Gentoo&#8217;s unstable xorg-x11 distribution does the job.<\/li>\n<li><del datetime=\"2005-07-10T03:13:39+00:00\">DVD playback; the drive doesn&#8217;t seem to understand\/decrypt the disc structure, even with libdvdcss installed.<\/del> <a href=\"http:\/\/linvdr.org\/projects\/regionset\/\">regionset<\/a> is your friend.<\/li>\n<li>TV decoder; still not decided what card\/box to buy, so it&#8217;s a way off yet.<\/li>\n<li><del datetime=\"2005-07-12T01:24:04+00:00\">Logitech QuickCam Messenger; haven&#8217;t even tried, though reports of support look reasonable.<\/del> Yup, <a href=\"http:\/\/home.mag.cx\/messenger\/\">qc-usb-messenger<\/a> to the rescue!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Things are progressing well with the mediabox.
