    Ah yes, the Speccy.

    Interesting how the backround and foreground colour for each screen location are stored in an easily-accessible way.

    I never had a Speccy. I had a ZX-81, followed by a Dragon 32.

    I’ve actually got the pen and paper colours mixed up (not that you can tell when it’s random), and should be using INT(RND*8), since there are 8 colours. Oh and adding the BRIGHT bit would be prettier. FLASH would be tacky, and hard to do with a single PNG.
