Go and see The History Boys. Sharp dialogue, killer casting and and a great depiction of the time (post-Falklands Thatcherism just finding its feet) — not a second of your time wasted.

  1. I rather enjoyed it myself. Personally, I wasn’t entirely convinced by setting it in 1983, despite it coinciding with a very formative period in my own life. It feels like an odd compromise between Alan Bennett’s own experience in the 50s and now.
