a good reason to blog less

Yesterday went to The Twelfth Fret and traded in the Goodtime for this:

Bob Carlin BC-350

It’s a Gold Tone Bob Carlin Signature. It sounds beautiful, and unlike me, plays like a dream. So if I’m not blogging so much, this might just be the reason.

Every time my dad gets a new banjo he said it’s going to take over his life. And it usually does, until he gets or builds a new one. His latest is a big bass banjo he built.

12 inch head! Is size everything? Is that a scooped neck I see?

Obviously your trip over over the Atlantic to play on my Gold Tone had some impact. Does it sound as good as it looks?

By the way, I’ve finally learned to frail a WHOLE tune.

Happy Picking
